Data Deletion

Tray Overflow is designed so there is very little to delete: menu-bar content stays on your Mac; purchases have server-side recovery records. This page explains where the little data that exists lives, and how to have it removed.
Data on your Mac
Your settings, trial state, license record, and the local cache of captured menu bar icons are stored only on your Mac. To remove them, delete the app from /Applications, remove the "Tray Overflow" entry from your Keychain, and delete the app's preferences and caches (the com.matgc.trayoverflow preference domain, the TrayOverflow folder in Application Support, and the TrayOverflow folder in ~/Library/Caches). No request to us is needed — this data never leaves your Mac.
License and purchase records — held by Dodo Payments
When you buy Tray Overflow, the purchase and license records (your email address, order details, and license key) are created and held by Dodo Payments, the merchant of record . We also store the checkout/payment references, status, and purchase consent evidence described in our privacy policy. To request deletion:
- Email us at support@mattmade.ai from your purchase email address and ask for your license record to be deleted. We will handle the request for our billing records, request deletion with Dodo Payments on your behalf, and confirm the outcome. Note that deleting the license record permanently deactivates your license.
- Or contact Dodo Payments directly. Customers can request deletion of their transaction data through Dodo Payments' own support channels — see dodopayments.com and their privacy policy for details, or use the contact information in your order confirmation email.
Dodo Payments may need to retain certain transaction records where required by law (for example, tax and accounting rules), as described in their privacy policy.

You can remove the essential purchase cookie and checkout session storage in your browser settings. Contact support from your purchase email address to request deletion of server-side checkout and consent records.
